Fukushima Projection Mapping
Haruka 2 01 7
- Shirakawa Hanakagari -
The projection mapping "Haruka" has been held in hopes of the recovery of Fukushima and Tohoku following the Great East Japan Earthquake. This year, marking its fifth year, the event will be held in Shirakawa City, Fukushima Prefecture, following on from last year, under the title "Shirakawa Hanakagari." Set in Nanko Park, said to be the oldest park in Japan, the arrival of a new spring was expressed through a production of water, light, and sound, including images on a water screen, a Japanese drum performance accompanied by projection mapping onto the pine trees in the park, and a chorus of NHK's reconstruction support song "Hana wa Saku."
